American agric investor to employ50,000 Nigerians

AN international agricultural
investment company, the Global Green
Investment based in the United States of
America, USA, is to employ about 50, 000
Nigerians when its planned project in
Anambra State takes off.
Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the
company, Mrs. Mary Flower, said in Awka
that the company’s aim was to reduce
unemployment and insecurity in Nigeria
through its agricultural project.
According to Flower, the company is
already searching for 15,000 hectares of
land in Anambra State for the execution
of the project.
She added that in addition to employing
many Nigerians, it would also empower
rural farmers, with a view to curbing
rural-urban migration of youths in
search of jobs.
