A Man believed to be training female suicide bombers was arrested weekend in Kano State.
The man, identified as Ibrahim Ibrahim, was arrested alongside 16 other girls, who security agents said were being trained as would-be bombers.
Sources in Kano said the teenage girls were arrested when security operatives swooped on the place where they were being trained at Dala quarters, Dala Council, following a tip-off.
The arrest comes on the heels of the wave of suicide bombings by teenage girls usually dressed in hijab. Also, last month, a 10-year -old girl was arrested along with a man – both wired up and on a suicide bombing mission – along Zaria road, Funtua, Katsina State.
The spokesperson of the 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army in Kano, Captain Okechukwu Eze, disclosed that investigation was on over the development.
